Del Fuego began in 2024 as a single public event designed to expand the conversation around wildfire beyond agencies and experts. Field Work 2025
Del Fuego Field Work 2025 took representatives from various community sectors on four field excursions to areas that have been burned by wildfire across Taos County. The group heard from a forager-chef, a writer, an artist and a wildlife biologist about the many ways we are affected by forests and wildfire. Blending hard science, the humanities and traditional knowledge, the trips underscored the many ways we interact with and view these dynamic ecosystems.
